A common household item of countryside Thailand re-purposed into a minimalist pendant light. This woven bamboo fish trap has been handcrafted by villagers of northeastern Thailand, it is a detailed work of design and craftsmanship.
Its woven pattern and the flexibility of the bamboo strips make it very versatile allowing for a variety of shapes. It is possible to compress it and keep it in a round/globe shape using simple strings inside. You can see this variation in the first photo where BOTH LAMPS ARE THE SAME MODEL. The slim, oblong shape is its default shape without strings.
The lamp can be used as a main source of light or as a dim light feature in a room, depending on the bulb used.
